Mostafa Ghanem is an assistant professor of veterinary medicine. His research focuses on developing advanced molecular diagnostics and genotyping techniques using next-generation sequencing to investigate infectious diseases of economic and public health importance, such as avian Mycoplasma and foodborne pathogens. Ghanem’s laboratory aims to improve disease surveillance, prevention and control to promote the health and well being of both animals and humans.
