Student Fellow Cohorts

The UMD Center of Excellence in Microbiome Sciences hosts an annual student fellowship program to train graduate students in team science and cross-disciplinary system approaches that are essential to advance innovation through microbiome research. Via scientific presentations, networking within and outside of UMD, and a capstone panel organized by the cohort, fellows gain a comprehensive overview of the breadth of the field and develop an understanding of how their own research can be integrated for impactful solutions.
