Ryan Blaustein is an assistant professor of nutrition and food science. His research advances microbiology, microbial genomics, and food science through integrated programs that combine applied science with computational approaches. Blaustein’s lab focuses on understanding the complex microbial systems that impact food safety and agricultural sustainability, with the goal of developing bio-based solutions that strengthen healthy food systems and enhance food security for all.
